While we want everyone to stay focused on nematology...a little recreational time is always nice!

Here are a few other things to do in Victoria:

Butchart Gardens: Victoria is famous for its gardens, and none are more famous than Butchart Gardens located just outside of the city. If you are arriving by Saturday night and have no other commitments on Sunday, consider joining Tom and more of your nematology colleagues for a tour and buffet lunch at Butchart Gardens. Sunday from approximately 9:00 to 16:00 pm. Sign up by clicking on the button below:

You have a few hours free?
Here are a few attractions and activities near the hotels and Conference Centre

Take in Beacon Hill Park:
Get active, chill out, get lost (if you want to)… all within a couple of blocks of the Conference Centre!  The jewel of downtown Victoria, Beacon Hill Park offers an array of garden pathways and jogging routes, culminating in seaside viewpoints overlooking over the Strait of Juan de Luca and the Majestic Olympic Peninsula of Washington.

Take a guided tour around Victoria in an open-air double-decker bus:

Go on a whale watching tour:
Several providers of ~4 hour whale watching tours are located in the inner harbour near the Conference Centre.

Rent a bike and tour downtown Victoria, Dallas Road shoreline, or even the more extensive Galloping Goose bike path:
